How do I get my materials to you?

What information do you need / what do I bring to my appointment?

If you are a current client please call or email us and we will provide you with a Tax Organizer. If you are a new client please use this generic Tax Organizer. Self Employed individuals may use this list of Self Employed Schedule C Expenses to help get organized. It may also be helpful to talk with your preparer prior to your appointment to ensure you have everything we need. Be sure to review all documents for accuracy before you arrive for your appointment. Some basic info to help you get organized can be found here.

Beginning in 2017 (for Tax Year 2016) Tax Preparers are required to verify your identity with one of the following documents: State Issued Drivers License or ID Card, Passport, or an account statement from a financial institution, utility company, or credit card billing statement.

 

How much do you charge?

Our tax prep fees are charged on a “Per Form” basis, which means the more complicated your tax return the more it will cost. Because of this, our fees can vary significantly from one year to the next as your tax situation changes. We charge a minimum of $80 an hour for any accounting required to complete your tax return. One way to avoid accounting charges is to add up your receipts yourself. Ask us about a Tax Organizer to help you get started.

When do I pay for my return?

Payment for your tax return is due prior to our filing it with the IRS. We accept payment by Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, Union Pay, cash, and check. (Read our Payment Policy)

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express and Union Pay. To pay by credit card please call our office at (206) 937-7410, or fill out the Authorization to Charge form and mail or fax it to us (please do not email the form).

Does Bayley Davis Associates, Inc. do Rapid Refunds?

No. When using the IRS E-File program your Federal Tax Refund will be directly deposited into your bank account within 2 weeks of filing the return. This program allows you to retain your full refund instead of paying high fees in order to access your money the day you file.

Why do my emails to you keep getting rejected?

To protect against Spam, our Internet Service Provider (ISP) sometimes blocks emails coming from private servers. If you receive a bounce back message when sending us an email, please call us and provide us with your IP address so that we can direct our ISP to ‘white-list’ it. Once your IP address is ‘white-listed’ your emails will be allowed to go through to our server.
